Thursday Evening Vesper Services
Our mid-week worship opportunity is offered at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings in the Fireside Room with one of our co-ministers or community ministers leading the service. Come enter the quiet space of our beautiful small chapel and breathe softly. Take twenty minutes to hold yourself in silence, listen to sacred music performed by Elinor Armer and reflect. Let yourself be quieted, nourished and refreshed in the midst of your beloved community.

March 17: In this first session we will explore the question, "What is religious freedom? What does it mean to create an authentic, true faith for ourselves?" We will do this by looking at the origins of Unitarianism and Universalism, from Jesus to the Reformation. This class will trace the origins of both the Unitarian and Universalist churches to the early Christian church. We will talk about massive social influences which helped shape the reformation and talk about how we experience the roots of our free religious tradition.
April 21: In this class we will ask, "Is all, one? Is there an indivisible totality which pervades all?" We will explore early European Unitarianism. This class will look at the fascinating historical firepit which was the Reformation. Though the title Unitarian was not seized as an identity for years to come, the idea which was the seed of one of our founding traditions first grew into its fullness. We will look at the emergence of Unitarianism in Transylvania as well.
May 19: This class will ask, "Are people truly, deeply, underneath it all, good? And if we really believed that, what might we do differently?" We will explore the birth of Universalism and its flourishing in the repressive religious climate which pervaded the early colonization of this country. We will look into the early circuit riders and the progressive ministries of women in the frontier.
4th Thursdays
7:00 p.m. Intern Minister Darcy Baxter will lead the vesper service.
7:30 p.m. "Our Unitarian Universalist Heritage and Tradition" with Darcy Baxter.
