Immigration
Prayer Vigils for Immigrant Detainees
Interfaith Prayer Vigil for Immigrant Detainees
at the West County Detention Facility
Monthly on Third Wednesdays
5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
5555 Giant Highway, Richmond CA

Each day between 150 and 300 immigrants are detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the West County Detention Facility in Richmond. Parents are separated from children. Families are torn apart. Many have lived here for years and have committed no crime. At this monthly third Wednesday vigil people gather to pray and bear witness to the pain, suffering and loneliness of those detained and their families and to call for just immigration reform.
