UUCB "Walking Our Talk"

2011 Annual GRIP Harmony Walk to End Hunger
Sixty members and friends of UUCB gathered with representatives of other GRIP member congregations at the Richmond Civic Center on Saturday, October 22, 2011 to participate in the 2011 Greater Richmond Interfaith Program's (GRIP) Harmony Walk to End Hunger. The annual walk raises much needed funds that allow GRIP to feed and shelter families, and offer job counseling and support to parents.
This year, thanks to those who walked and many other donors, we raised $6,221.00! Our gift was the largest GRIP Walk has ever received from a congregation or community organization. Thanks to all. The need is great and it is a gift to be able to give. Thank you, thank you!
GRIP Souper Center

The GRIP Souper center serves hot lunches and dinners 365 days a year with the help of volunteers from the community and its 40 member churches, synagogues and partner organizations.
On the fourth Tuesday of each month, volunteers from our church prepare and serve lunch at the Souper Center located at 165 22nd Street in Richmond. To volunteer or for information on the GRIP lunch program, please contact Judy Abel.
