DECEMBER GIFTS TO GIVE AND TO RECEIVE

Open your eyes and ears and let in the miracle of life.

December 2 Give a listening ear. Give your attention.

December 3 Sing the spirit of the season at the Sing-Along Messiah tonight at 6 p.m. Hallelujah!

December 4 When you see people, silently wish them glad tidings of health and peace.

December 5 Remember all for which you are grateful.

December 6 Make your house fair with decorations you create. Trim the hearth and set the table.

December 7 Take a deep breath and breathe in peace and breathe out loving kindness.

December 8 Is there joy, ease, sweetness in what you are doing? If not, can you change how you are
doing what you are doing?

December 9 Give an encouraging word, a note of appreciation, a nod of affirmation.

December 10 Outside the Fireside Room or up on the Peace Memorial Hill, sit, just sit, and look out at the beautiful bay.
Take in the light, shapes, colors, textures. Then come inside and greet all the beautiful people!

December 11 Cook hearty, healthy homemade soup to share.

December 12 Leave a surprise on a doorstep or under a windshield wiper.

December 13 Delight someone with a memory or poem.

December 14 Share the beauty of the earth. Give a green plant or a basket of fruit.

December 15 Light a candle and give thanks that light doesn’t die, Hanukkah’s miracle.

December 16 Offer forgiveness.

December 17 Celebrate the holiday pageant and bring new picture books and early reader books, our gifts to the Read Aloud program in the Richmond and San Pablo schools!

December 18 Wrap gifts in earth friendly wrapping like bandanas, tins, reusable bags, the comics.

December 19 Be on the look out for glimpses of joy.

December 20 Dim the lights, sit back, and listen to beautiful music.
