From Our Co-Ministers

January 2006

Happy New Year!

We join with each other to bring new life
to our lives, our congregation and our world!

We ring in the new year together celebrating, rejoicing, singing!

We join with each other to remember our children, to promote justice and peace, and to create the beloved community.

The new year promises circles of intimacy, connection, and deep conversation; classes, workshops and gatherings for teaching, learning and growing, chances to serve, to extend, to put your self to good use.

The new year offers worship services, Sunday after Sunday,
to remind you of what you already know, to renew you,
to comfort you in your sorrow and weariness,
to challenge you to live your one wild and precious life,
to open your heart, to call forth your presence, attention, and gifts,
to revive your spirit through the energy of gathered community.

The new year calls to you to reach out your hand to another,
to move through the world and greet familiar people and welcome strangers with your belief in the inherent worth and dignity of people alive on your face.

The new year invites you to make room in your heart, mind, and in our congregation for new loves, thoughts, and people.

Welcome the new!
